GSK Partners with Relation Therapeutics on $110 Million Cellular Data Collaboration
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has entered a strategic research partnership with Relation Therapeutics Limited. Under the agreement, Relation may receive up to $110 million in upfront payments and success‑based milestones. The collaboration will generate large‑scale human cellular perturbation datasets, captured with multi‑omics readouts, to train Relation’s MORGAN foundation model and deepen understanding of disease biology. GSK aims to use the data to support the discovery of new therapeutic targets.
Relation’s CEO David Roblin said the partnership will create “novel datasets from physiologically relevant human disease systems” that can reveal important biological mechanisms and aid future drug discovery efforts.
