GSP Beograd employees face first delay in salary advances

Employees of the Belgrade City Public Transport Company (GSP Beograd) have not received their scheduled salary advances, which are typically paid on the 25th of each month. The Centar trade union reported that workers have expressed significant concern regarding the missing payments.

Ivan Banković, president of the Centar union, stated that the company's management has not addressed the employees to explain the delay or provide a timeline for when the funds will be disbursed. He noted that many workers rely on these payments to manage bank loans and family expenses.

Banković warned that the situation could impact the reliability of Belgrade's public transport. He further noted that the City of Belgrade has been months late in paying current subsidies and funds for completed transport services to GSP, making it increasingly difficult to procure spare parts and maintenance materials for vehicles.
