GSSG announces 33rd Speleology Course in Trieste

The GSSG is organizing its 33rd Speleology Course, scheduled to run from October 16 to November 20. The first-level course is designed to introduce participants to vertical speleology and rope progression techniques under the guidance of instructors recognized by the Società Speleologica Italiana.

The program includes both theoretical and practical components. Theoretical lessons will cover topics such as cave development, geology, entomology, and topography. Practical sessions will take place in the karst cavities of the Trieste region and surrounding areas. Due to potential health situation developments, the organizers have reserved the right to postpone the course if necessary.
