Cyberleek threatens Grand Theft Auto VI leak over crypto and physical edition demands

An anonymous leaker known as Cyberleek has issued an ultimatum to Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games, threatening to release a complete, playable build of Grand Theft Auto VI. The leaker has tied the release of the game to the market capitalization of a Solana-based meme coin named CYBERLEEK, demanding it reach $30 million.

Cyberleek has also framed the extortion as a protest against the lack of a physical disc edition for the game, demanding that Take-Two issue physical copies and a public apology. Recent leaks attributed to the group include a 25-minute gameplay video and footage showing the character Lucia appearing nude. While some footage has caused significant discussion, experts suggest these clips may be from a development build or modified using developer tools, as in-game NPCs do not react to the nudity.

Take-Two Interactive has taken legal action, seeking court orders against Discord and Microsoft to identify the leaker. The official release for Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
