GTA 6 introduces Criminal Profile system and expanded arsenal
Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will feature a new Criminal Profile system designed to track player behavior and influence how non-player characters (NPCs) interact with the protagonists, Jason and Lucia. According to Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson, the system evaluates both overt crimes and subtle behaviors over time. While players can commit minor offenses without immediate escalation, consistent unnecessary violence or reckless behavior will negatively impact the profile, leading to different NPC reactions and a more reactive world.
The game also introduces a refreshed arsenal and equipment interface. Revealed weaponry includes the Duke 556 assault rifle, the Uzi submachine gun, and the Moreland 850 shotgun, with unique revolvers available for Ultimate Edition owners. Players can equip pistols with silencers or flashlights and utilize tools such as stun guns, Molotov cocktails, and various melee weapons. The new item selection interface separates weapons from auxiliary equipment, utilizing a dedicated eight-slot system for pistols, secondary weapons, throwables, and tools.
