GTA VI launch fuels gameplay hype and global pre‑order fraud warnings
Rockstar Games' upcoming title Grand Theft Auto VI continues to generate strong anticipation among players, with the company planning a third traditional trailer before revealing full gameplay footage, which may not appear until after the summer.
At the same time, cybersecurity firm Kaspersky has warned that the launch of GTA VI pre‑orders on 25 June is being exploited by fraudsters worldwide. Fake pre‑order sites, deceptive video tutorials and counterfeit token offers are targeting gamers, collecting personal and payment data and, in some cases, installing malware. The scams have appeared in multiple languages, including Portuguese sites that mimic official storefronts and request Brazilian tax IDs. Kaspersky advises users to purchase only through official platforms and verify URLs before entering any information.
