Grand Theft Auto VI launch set for November 2026

Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The initial release will focus exclusively on a single-player campaign and will not include an integrated multiplayer mode or recurring microtransactions at launch.

During a recent shareholder meeting, CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed concerns regarding the game's development and platform availability. While a PC version has not been officially announced, Zelnick noted that the PC platform is becoming increasingly important to the company's long-term strategy. He emphasized that Rockstar Games historically prioritizes console releases to ensure technical optimization for the core user base.

Regarding the future of online play, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy suggested that a multiplayer component, potentially a successor to GTA Online, could arrive in 2027. Take-Two clarified that the existing GTA Online will continue to receive support as a separate product even after the release of GTA VI. Additionally, the company expects significant revenue growth in fiscal year 2027, driven by its major upcoming releases.
