Göttingen mayoral candidates are University of Göttingen alumni

The upcoming mayoral election in Göttingen features three candidates who are all alumni of the University of Göttingen. The candidates represent diverse academic backgrounds, including teaching, theology, and law.

Dr. Florian Dinger, an alumnus of the Faculty of Theology and current director of IGS Bovenden, is running as the SPD candidate. Dinger, who also serves as a lecturer at the University of Göttingen, noted that his time as a doctoral student and lecturer significantly shaped his professional and personal convictions.
