Guía de Isora approves Costa San Juan urban development project

The Guía de Isora City Council has approved the initial land repartition project for Costa San Juan, a 267,130 square meter area located between Playa San Juan and Aguadulce in southern Tenerife. This move unblocks a development process that has been pending for over a decade.

The project involves a one-kilometer stretch of coastline. According to current planning, the area is designated for the construction of two five-star luxury hotels with a combined capacity for 1,100 guests and a total buildable area of 43,754 square meters. The development also includes 33 single-family residential plots, various tourist and sports facilities, and over 62,000 square meters of green spaces and open areas.

The repartition process reorganizes former agricultural estates into urbanized plots, establishes public land transfers, and determines the distribution of costs and indemnities. This legal step is essential for the physical execution of the urban plan, which has faced delays since 2011 due to complex property ownership and previous expropriation processes.
