Gua Musang flooding displaces 221 residents in Kelantan

Heavy rainfall in the Gua Musang district of Kelantan has led to significant flooding, resulting in the evacuation of 221 people from 57 families to five temporary relief centers (PPS). Affected areas include Jeram Tekoh, Sungai Asap, Renok, Kampung Limau Kasturi, and several other settlements.

Local authorities reported that water levels rose abruptly following approximately 100mm of rainfall, leaving some residents unable to salvage their belongings. Among those rescued by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) were six residents from Kampung Limau Kasturi 1, including elderly individuals and a patient requiring dialysis treatment.

The relief centers currently in operation include Masjid Jeram Tekoh, Dewan Orang Ramai Zon 3 Jeram Tekoh, Sekolah Kebangsaan Jeram Tekoh, Balai Raya Felda Chiku 6, and Sekolah Kebangsaan Limau Kasturi 1.
