Guabirá defeats Aurora 3-1 in Montero

Guabirá defeated Aurora 3-1 at the Gilberto Parada Stadium in Montero during the 20th round of the Professional Division tournament. The victory allows Guabirá to climb to sixth place with 29 points, moving them closer to international tournament qualification and helping them recover from a previous 6-0 loss in El Alto.

Guabirá secured an early lead with goals from Carlos Áñez in the 4th minute and Makerlo Téllez in the 8th minute. Aurora managed to reduce the deficit in the 47th minute through an Alan Terrazas penalty following a foul by Sergio Gil. However, Gustavo Peredo scored in the 52nd minute to finalize the score for the home side.

The match follows a difficult period for Guabirá, specifically regarding goalkeeper Manuel Ferrel, who recently reported death threats against himself and his family following a match against Always Ready. The club president, Rafael Paz, noted that the goalkeeper decided to distance himself from the institution during the investigation.
