Guabirá reports death threats against goalkeeper and family

Guabirá coach Leonardo Egüez has reported that goalkeeper Manuel Ferrel and his family received death threats prior to a match against Always Ready in Villa Ingenio. According to Egüez, the threats targeted Ferrel’s wife and mother, with demands for a specific sum of money and threats of violence if the team failed to concede at least three goals.

Player Víctor Ábrego also reported leaving the field due to fear for the safety of his teammates and their families. Ábrego stated that the situation caused significant distress, leading him to request a substitution to avoid potential retaliation against his colleagues. The club has called for an official investigation by the authorities into these allegations.
