Guadaclown festival brings circus arts to Guadalajara's Mercado de Abastos

The seventh edition of the Guadaclown cycle took place at the Mercado de Abastos in Guadalajara, Spain, transforming the traditional food market into a stage for magic, jokes, and juggling. Between 12:00 and 14:00, performers interacted directly with merchants and customers among the fruit, vegetable, and meat stalls.

Culture Councilor Javier Toquero noted the high attendance, highlighting the ability of clowning to engage audiences of all ages. The festival's programming will continue on October 21 with school performances by the Quique Montoya Company, featuring the show ‘Tornillo Magic Clown,’ which addresses themes of peer pressure and screen addiction.

The event is scheduled to conclude with an ‘International Comedy Cabaret’ at the Teatro Auditorio Buero Vallejo on October 23, followed by a children's clowning workshop on October 24.
