Guadalajara and Toledo launch free summer youth programs

The city of Guadalajara announced the "Nos movemos en tu barrio" initiative, a free summer programme for young residents aged 13 and up that runs from early July to September. Activities include music sessions with DJs, live podcast recordings, an outdoor cinema showing Jurassic World and the latest Mission: Impossible film, an urban escape‑room, and adventure‑sport events such as rock‑climbing, archery and inflatable play areas. The programme continues in September with a urban fair featuring dance workshops, sports competitions, family activities and a youth photography contest, all organized with the participation of local youth project The Get Up.

In Toledo, the municipal council presented VeraniTO 2026, a free summer agenda for people aged 14‑35 that spans July and August. The schedule features excursions to theme parks (Parque de Atracciones, Puy du Fou, Parque Warner), zip‑line sessions, concerts by artists such as Lia Kali and De La Rose, a housing‑policy conference for young adults, water‑sport outings, and a final nautical day with sailing, kayaking and paddle‑surf. Both cities emphasised providing healthy, affordable leisure options to engage young people in cultural and sporting activities.
