Guadalajara announces 11th ‘Guadalajara busca torero’ bullfighting competition

The 11th edition of the ‘Guadalajara busca torero’ bullfighting competition, organized by the Escuela Superior de Tauromaquia (CITAR), has been announced for 2026. The event will consist of eight bullfighting festivities held across seven towns in the province of Guadalajara.

The competition is scheduled to begin on August 21 in Tamajón, with the grand final taking place on September 27 in Horche. Other locations include Atienza, Fuentelencina, Almonacid de Zorita, Yebra, and Alcocer. This edition will feature 31 students from 17 bullfighting schools across Spain, Mexico, and Portugal.

The Diputación de Guadalajara has increased its collaboration agreement with CITAR by €30,000 to support the organization of the event.
