Guadalajara begins construction of Centro Gamer
Construction has begun on the Centro Gamer Guadalajara, a project designed to support creative and digital industries. Located within the Ciudad Creativa Digital area at Andador Baeza Alzaga, the initiative involves an investment of 12.8 million pesos.
The project includes the rehabilitation of a pedestrian bridge connecting the area to Plaza Tapatía. While construction is underway, the pedestrian walkway will remain open. The facility will feature computers and dedicated spaces for activities such as video game production, audiovisual production, photography, video, audio, design, and digital content creation.
Guadalajara Mayor Verónica Delgadillo stated the project aims to reconvert public space into a community meeting point and foster talent in industries that drive modern economies. Alfredo Aceves Fernández, head of the Agency for the Development of Creative and Digital Industries of Jalisco, noted the center is intended to attract investment and develop local talent within the historic center.
