Guadalajara celebrates traditional children's festival opening

The Council of Children, Adolescence and Youth of Guadalajara and children from Peña El Caracol led the traditional Pregón and Chupinazo Infantil to mark the start of the Guadalajara Fairs and Festivals. The event took place at La Concordia Park, where Mayor Ana Guarinos welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of giving children a voice in the city's festivities.

During the proclamation, youth representatives encouraged their peers to participate in the week's activities, including music, lights, and traditional parades. They also advocated for increased child participation in civic life, urging students to share their ideas through designated school suggestion boxes. The ceremony concluded with a collective celebration and the ceremonial launch of the chupinazo.
