Guadalajara honors heritage restoration as Cortijo Guadiana wins agricultural award

In Guadalajara, Mexico, the municipal government has recognized property owners for the conservation and restoration of heritage buildings. During the XXIII Annual Award for the Conservation and Restoration of Heritage Buildings, six properties were honored across residential and commercial categories. The administration noted that it has supported 333 properties to date to incentivize the preservation of the city's historical identity.

In Spain, Fundación Mapfre has awarded the Best Initiative in the Agricultural Sector prize to Cortijo Guadiana, an estate owned by the Castillo de Canena group. The award, which includes 40,000 euros, recognizes the estate for its implementation of regenerative agriculture in olive groves. Cortijo Guadiana is noted as the first olive grove certified by AENOR in regenerative agriculture, focusing on soil fertility, biodiversity, and the use of renewable energies.
