Guadalajara hosts third annual women's football meeting
The third Guadalajara Women's Football Meeting took place at the Jerónimo de la Morena municipal field, bringing together dozens of young players from various age categories, including alevín, infantil, and cadete. Participating clubs included Salesianos, Atlético Guadalajara, and the organizer, Dínamo Guadalajara.
The event served to honor local achievements and key figures in the sport. The Club Deportivo Salesianos Femenino was recognized for winning the league title and earning promotion to the Preferente category. Individual distinctions were awarded to Laura Horche, noted as a role model for younger generations, and Beatriz Bueno, for her lifelong dedication to sports in Guadalajara.
The meeting also highlighted the career of Judith Fernández Castaño, a former Salesianos youth player currently playing for Atlético de Madrid and receiving call-ups for the Spanish national team.
