Guadalajara hosts week of activities for World Migrant and Refugee Day
The Diocese of Sigüenza-Guadalajara is organizing the 112th World Day of Migrants and Refugees from September 21 to 27. The event focuses on children and adolescents involved in migration and refuge processes, following the theme “Even just one of these little ones” set by Pope Leo XIV.
A week of activities has been scheduled in Guadalajara to promote intercultural dialogue and raise awareness about the reality of migrants and refugees. The program includes an exhibition of intercultural associations at the Eduardo Guitián Integrated Municipal Center, a peaceful “Circle of Silence” in Plaza de Santo Domingo to advocate for migrant rights, and an intercultural café at Casa Nazaret.
Other scheduled events include religious services in various parishes, a storytelling session for children at the Suárez de Puga Library, an intercultural parade on September 25, and an intercultural festival at Parque de la Concordia on September 26. The week will conclude with intercultural masses on September 27.
