Guadalajara celebrates patron saint with urban art and charity events

The city of Guadalajara is preparing for its Ferias y Fiestas, highlighted by religious, artistic, and charitable initiatives. A large-scale urban art mural dedicated to the Virgen de la Antigua, the city's patron saint, has been inaugurated on Calle La Carrera to bridge traditional devotion with contemporary art. Additionally, a large image of the Virgin has been placed in the Bejanque roundabout.

In conjunction with the festivities, the seventh edition of the ‘Vermut Solidario’ (also known as ‘De tapas por Cáritas’) will take place from September 5 to 8 at Parque de la Concordia. Organized by Cáritas Diocesana de Sigüenza-Guadalajara and the Junta de Cofradías y Hermandades, the event aims to raise funds for social projects that support approximately 6,000 people in the region.
