Guadalajara sets record for mortgage lending amounts

Guadalajara has reached a record high in mortgage lending. According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), mortgage signings in the province totaled 159 million euros in June 2026, a significant increase from 54 million euros during the same month the previous year.

The number of mortgages signed also rose by 48%, growing from 340 to 503 in a twelve-month period. Of these, 412 were for housing, with an average mortgage amount of 158,000 euros. This growth in Guadalajara accounts for more than half of the total capital lent within the broader region, which reached 241 million euros.
