Guadalajara to hire architect for forest fire reconstruction
The Government Board of the Diputación de Guadalajara has approved a technical support program to assist in reconstruction efforts for municipalities affected by the La Mierlay and Selas forest fires. These fires caused significant damage in the Sierra Norte and Molina de Aragón regions.
A central component of this initiative is the hiring of a dedicated technical architect specifically tasked with managing repair projects for damages caused by the fires and the subsequent firefighting operations. This role was created to ensure that extraordinary reconstruction tasks do not overwhelm the existing technical staff of the Comarcal Centers, who must maintain their regular duties for their respective municipalities.
The program is part of a broader regional reconstruction plan coordinated by the Vicepresidencia Primera of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha. The initial contract for the new professional is expected to last one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension depending on the workload.
