Guadalajara to host 2027 World Para Swimming Championships

Guadalajara, Mexico, has been selected to host the World Para Swimming Championships from July 25 to August 1, 2027. This marks the first time the event returns to Mexico in a decade.

The competition is expected to feature more than 600 athletes from over 70 countries, competing in 175 medal events. The tournament serves as a major milestone on the path toward the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

Events will take place at the CODE Metropolitano Aquatic Center. World Para Swimming officials noted that the venue's experience hosting the Para Swimming World Series since 2023 made it a qualified candidate for this international championship.
