Mexico announces various cultural and sporting events for 2026
Various cultural, commercial, and sporting events have been announced across Mexico for 2026. In San Luis Potosí, the Arena Potosí will host the LXXXII National Charro Congress and Championship from October 8 to November 1, featuring over 200 charro squadrons and a record 160 female escaramuzas teams.
In Ciudad Juárez, several events are scheduled, including the 15th International Juárez Marathon on October 18, which expects 3,500 athletes, and the 26th Tequila and Mariachi Festival from September 10 to 13. Additionally, local authorities have outlined permit requirements for vendors selling Independence Month goods in early September.
Guadalajara will host the 20th edition of Expo Franquicias from August 27 to 28, showcasing over 150 brands. In Morelia, the 24th Mariachi Festival will feature a main gala at the Teatro Matamoros on September 26. Other notable announcements include the return of Portuguese DJ Padre Guilherme to Mexico in December 2026, and the opening of the first MAJA Sportswear store in Ciudad Juárez.
