Guadalajara to host 61st Fiestas de Octubre in 2026

The 61st edition of the Fiestas de Octubre is scheduled to take place from October 2 to November 2, 2026, in Guadalajara and Zapopan, Jalisco. Under the theme “Jalisco, el Corazón de México,” the month-long celebration will focus on regional identity through music, gastronomy, culture, and traditional activities.

A central feature of the event is the renovated Auditorio Jalisco, which will host five thematic spaces: Raíces de Jalisco, Sabores de Jalisco, Paisajes de Jalisco, Tradiciones de Jalisco, and Innovación de Jalisco. The venue is being transformed to serve as a year-round site for major exhibitions and events.

The festival program includes free open-air concerts, ticketed palenque shows featuring banda and norteño artists, rodeos, and fairground rides. The event is expected to drive significant economic impact for the region through increased tourism and local commerce. Additionally, the festivities coincide with the Romería de la Virgen de Zapopan, a major religious event that traditionally draws nearly two million people.
