Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation extends irrigation campaign
The Confederación Hidrográfica del Guadalquivir (CHG) has authorized an extension of the irrigation campaign in response to low rainfall levels in September. The decision includes a water release of up to 50 cubic hectometers throughout the month of October.
Furthermore, the CHG has extended the deadline for extraordinary irrigation until October 15. This extension is specifically available to agricultural communities and farmers who have not yet exhausted their previously assigned water allocations. The measure follows requests from agricultural organizations such as UPA Jaén and ASAJA Córdoba to support crops during the period of water scarcity.
