Guairá Governor César Sosa denies presidential candidacy rumors

Guairá Governor César Sosa has denied rumors regarding a potential presidential candidacy, labeling reports of a planned launch supported by the Council of Governors as “totally false.” Sosa clarified that while he was previously proposed by the Council to join a potential ticket as a Vice Presidential candidate, those discussions were postponed.

Sosa emphasized that his current priority is serving the Guairá department and focusing on the upcoming municipal elections on October 4. He stated that the political focus within the Colorado Party is currently on securing mayoralties rather than national candidacies.

Addressing political speculation, Sosa confirmed he has received various offers from different sectors but reaffirmed his commitment to Honor Colorado. He explicitly denied plans to join other political movements such as Fuerza Republicana or Colorado Añetete, stating he is “very comfortable” within the current officialist structure.
