Gualdo Tadino to Open High‑Tech “Rocca Flea” Camper Area
The municipality of Gualdo Tadino has approved a public‑private partnership to build a new high‑tech camper stop called “Rocca Flea” near the historic Rocca Flea. The site will cover about 1,250 m² for 12 camper pitches and an adjacent 1,450 m² parking area for roughly 35 cars. Facilities include three electric‑vehicle charging stations, a digital service platform for reservations and payments, LED lighting, video surveillance, Wi‑Fi, a 55‑inch digital totem, a heart‑shaped green space reflecting the town’s historic centre, wheelchair access, pet‑friendly spots and bicycle racks.
The project costs €158,594, financed by €72,000 from the Italian Ministry of Tourism, €53,000 from the Gualdo Tadino municipal budget and €33,594 contributed by the private partner Mc Regem S.r.l., which will also supply the management platform and charging infrastructure. The concession will run for twelve years without automatic renewal, aiming to boost outdoor tourism in the Umbria‑Marche Apennine region.
