Gualtieri: Two men reported for gelateria theft after clothing leads to identification
In Gualtieri, two men, aged 28 and 33, have been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office following a nighttime theft at a gelateria in the Santa Vittoria district. Despite wearing masks to conceal their faces, the suspects were identified through their clothing. One suspect had been seen by the shop owner earlier that day wearing the same outfit captured on surveillance footage. The second suspect was identified by his build, gait, and specific clothing, including camouflage trousers, which he wore the following morning when reporting to a police station for a mandatory signature requirement.
In separate criminal incidents across Italy, police have conducted several arrests. In Catania, an Albanian woman was apprehended at the airport upon arrival from Malta on an existing warrant related to kidnapping for extortion and facilitating illegal immigration. In Caltanissetta, a 19-year-old was arrested for drug dealing after police observed a transaction involving hashish. In Torino, a 37-year-old Romanian national was caught stealing electronics from a vehicle; he was identified by distinctive tattoos despite attempting to change his clothes. Additionally, in Catania, a 31-year-old man was arrested for continuing drug distribution via his vehicle shortly after a previous arrest.
