The Secretariat of Women in Guanajuato, led by Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, increased its free assistance by 84 % in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025. The agency delivered 13,412 services—psychological counseling, legal advice and social work—to 2,342 individuals and issued 106 protection orders.

In Puebla, Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier reported a 60 % reduction in feminicide cases in 2026 versus 2025, attributing the decline to an integrated model of care operating through 50 Centros LIBRE. These centers, staffed largely by women, provide coordinated legal, psychological and empowerment services and have helped move the state from seventh to twelfth place nationally in feminicide statistics.
