Guanajuato artisans partner with Oregon's Cactus Canyon Ceramics for US export
The Coordinadora de Fomento al Comercio Exterior (COFOCE) organized a four‑day business agenda in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, linking 11 local artisan workshops with a buyer from Oregon‑based Cactus Canyon Ceramics. The U.S. company, which sells handmade ceramics through Amazon, Walmart and its own channels, sought suppliers that meet lead‑free, strict quality‑control and consumer‑safety standards. During the visit the artisans demonstrated their production capacity, designs and ability to fulfill export orders, while the buyer explained the requirements of the U.S. market. The initiative, supported by Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo’s administration, aims to boost the competitiveness of micro, small and medium‑sized enterprises in Guanajuato by opening new export opportunities to the United States.
