Guanajuato deputy proposes using AI for tourism promotion

Aldo Iván Márquez Becerra, a local deputy for the PAN party, has introduced an initiative to implement artificial intelligence as a tool for tourism promotion in Guanajuato.

Marquez argued that digital technologies have fundamentally changed how travelers select destinations and organize trips. Citing data from Booking, he noted that over 80 percent of users utilize technological tools to make vacation decisions. The legislator emphasized that AI can help identify patterns and traveler preferences to create more precise and timely policies, serving as a support tool for planning, promotion, and management rather than a replacement for authorities.
