Guanajuato educational institutions expand technical training and international ties

Educational and industrial institutions in Guanajuato, Mexico, are expanding technical training and international cooperation. The Universidad Tecnológica de León (UTL) has signed a collaboration agreement with the Cámara de la Industria del Calzado del Estado de Guanajuato (CICEG). This partnership aims to foster academic research, technological development, and human capital training specifically for the leather and footwear sector through dual education models and industrial internships.

Separately, the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Guanajuato (CECyTEG) is strengthening its international ties through the Mexico-Japan Global Strategic Partnership (Nichiboku). Three teachers have been selected to participate in an automobile manufacturing course in Hiroshima, Japan, organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The program, scheduled for late 2026, will allow educators to study production processes and training models at institutions such as the Mazda Technical Institute and various automotive plants to better align local technical education with industry demands.
