Guanajuato Governor confirms Laurel tunnel expansion plans

Guanajuato Governor Libia Denisse García Muñoz Ledo has confirmed that the expansion of the Laurel tunnel in Guanajuato capital is being integrated into upcoming mobility and infrastructure projects. The expansion aims to alleviate traffic congestion on a route that handles more than 16,000 vehicles daily.

While the projects are being coordinated with the municipal government, the Governor noted that some specific details cannot yet be released because certain works require the formal release of rights-of-way.

Additionally, the Governor addressed the progress of the IMSS General Zone Hospital (HGZ) No. 10 in the Arroyo Verde neighborhood. She indicated that the new hospital, located south of the capital, could be ready for inauguration in the coming months.
