Guanajuato Governor presents 2026 State Youth Award

Guanajuato Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo presented the 2026 State Youth Award to seven individuals in recognition of their leadership, talent, innovation, and social contributions. The ceremony, held in observance of International Youth Day, was attended by more than 2,000 young people representing all 46 municipalities of the state.

During the event, the Governor noted that young people aged 18 to 29 constitute approximately 1.3 million residents, or 21% of Guanajuato's population. She emphasized the role of youth in driving innovation and community transformation.

The State Youth Award, established in 2007, has recognized 153 individuals through 2025. The 2026 recipients include Nailea Francesca Mora Pérez for Social and Community Commitment, Raúl Omar Herrera Arroyo for Academic and Scientific excellence, and Marco Javier López Ramírez for Artistic and Cultural achievement.
