Guanajuato lacks federal funds for new hospitals in 2027 budget

Federal deputy Diego Barroso has revealed that the federal budget for 2027 does not include funds for the construction of any new IMSS or ISSSTE hospitals in the state of Guanajuato.

Barroso noted that despite the existing needs, particularly in the municipality of Irapuato, the federal government has not allocated resources for projects that have been previously postponed. He highlighted that while the municipal governments of Irapuato and Salamanca have already donated land for these medical facilities, the funds have not been authorized. The legislator criticized other political parties for failing to exert sufficient pressure to secure these socially demanded works.
