Guanajuato launches free online platform for parents

The Guanajuato State Education Secretariat (SEG) has introduced the free virtual Plataforma Escuela para Padres, aimed at helping parents support the schooling of children and adolescents. The platform offers courses, workshops and specialized materials on positive parenting, socio‑emotional development, family communication, risk‑prevention, healthy habits and overall well‑being. Participants such as Aracely Villafranco Muñoz and Teresa Jaquelin Rico Mendoza reported improved communication with teachers and a more positive home environment after attending the workshops.

In addition to the online resources, SEG will, from 22 July, co‑produce with TV4 a ten‑episode podcast titled “Familias Comprometidas,” where specialists share practical recommendations for parents. The initiative seeks to strengthen the partnership between schools and families and promote healthier, more engaged learning environments across Guanajuato.
