Guanajuato officials advance water projects and security reports

In Guanajuato, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo has been involved in key regional administrative and infrastructure discussions. Conagua Director General Efraín Morales López met with the Governor to discuss progress on the technification of Irrigation District 011 and coordination on strategic water projects between state and federal governments.

State officials inspected canal lining works, including over 10 kilometers of main channels and the modernization of intake works and control modules. Efforts include work on the Coria canal and the Bajo Salamanca canal to improve water management capacity.

Separately, Samantha Smith Gutiérrez, Mayor of Guanajuato capital, announced her upcoming administration report scheduled for September 29. She intends to highlight security achievements, including the recent arrest of a homicide suspect following a citizen report. The Mayor emphasized the importance of using the 911 emergency line to report suspicious activity.
