Guanajuato Puerto Interior marks 20 years of economic growth

Guanajuato Puerto Interior (GPI) is celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of economic development and industrial growth in Mexico. Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo highlighted the project as a key driver for employment, education, and regional prosperity, noting that Guanajuato has solidified its position as a major national economic power and one of Mexico’s primary export platforms.

According to Director General Héctor López Santillana, the success of the hub is attributed to long-term planning and collaboration between government, private companies, and educational institutions. Currently, GPI hosts 140 companies from 19 different countries, representing a cumulative investment of $6.5 billion and providing more than 40,000 direct jobs.
