Guanajuato teacher dismissed following inappropriate conduct videos

The Secretary of Education of Guanajuato (SEG) has permanently dismissed a teacher, identified as José Luis, from the Escuela Secundaria General No. 20 “Centéotl” in Acámbaro. The decision follows the viral spread of videos on social media showing the educator engaging in inappropriate sexualized behaviors and simulations with third-grade students inside a classroom.

Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo confirmed the immediate termination of the teacher's employment contract. Authorities are currently reviewing the case to determine if criminal charges will be filed with the prosecutor's office. The SEG has pledged to provide psychological support and accompaniment to the students and the school community affected by the incident.

Parents and students had previously raised concerns through anonymous reports, citing fear of retaliation. The state government emphasized a zero-tolerance policy regarding any conduct that threatens the integrity or well-being of minors in educational institutions.
