Guangci/Fengtian Temple Station opens on Taipei Metro

The Guangci/Fengtian Temple Station on the Taipei Metro's Tamsui-Xinyi Line has officially opened, providing commuters with more direct access and reduced transfer times. Following its opening, the station saw significant passenger volume, with over 15,000 riders on its first day. To celebrate, Taipei Metro has implemented several promotions through September 28, including free travel on the new section between Xiangshan and Guangci/Fengtian Temple stations.

Other opening festivities include limited-edition capsule toy giveaways, free soft-serve ice cream for those using a specific passphrase, and rewards for 'Taipei Metro Go' app users. Meanwhile, Taipei's public bike system, YouBike, is approaching a milestone of 500 million cumulative rides. The city plans to reward the 500 millionth user with a 20,000 TWD voucher.
