Guangdong man dies of liver cancer after running causes tumor rupture

A 37-year-old man surnamed Chung from Guangdong, China, has died suddenly due to late-stage liver cancer. The death was caused by a complication known as Spontaneous HCC Rupture.

Medical findings indicate that high-intensity running increased abdominal pressure, causing a fragile, vascular tumor to rupture. This led to massive internal bleeding, hemorrhagic shock, and cardiac arrest. Despite his regular 5km morning runs and seemingly healthy lifestyle, the man showed no prior symptoms of pain or exhaustion, as the liver lacks sensory pain nerves and often remains silent until the disease is advanced.
