Guangfu Township hosts market to revitalize local businesses

The Business Development Administration (BDA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs launched the ‘Guangfu Superman Thanksgiving Season’ market event at the Guangfu Sugar Factory to support local businesses in Guangfu Township, Hualien.

Designed to stimulate economic recovery following recent disasters, the event utilizes a ‘Superman Point Collection Passport’ to encourage consumer spending at local shops. The initiative connects key regional landmarks, including the Guangfu Railway Station, Mataoan Wetlands, and the Danong Dafu Flat Forest Park, via shuttle services to increase tourist foot traffic during the Mid-Autumn Festival period.

Beyond immediate marketing, the BDA is implementing a long-term support strategy through a business transformation and upgrading program for local merchants. Applications for this professional guidance and training scheme are being accepted until September 30 to help businesses achieve sustainable growth and market expansion.
