Guangxi car ramming incident leaves at least 2 dead and 6 injured

A 24-year-old man, identified by surname Huang, was detained following a vehicle collision in Baise, Guangxi, that struck nine electric bicycles on the evening of September 21. The incident occurred during the evening rush hour on Qingping Road and the Tiandong Bridge section, resulting in at least two deaths and six injuries.

The Tiandong County Public Security Bureau reported that the driver was taken into custody and that preliminary investigations have ruled out driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While official reports classified the event as a “traffic accident,” eyewitness accounts suggest the vehicle may have sped from a local hospital parking lot and struck pedestrians before continuing for approximately two kilometers, leading to public speculation regarding a potential targeted attack.
