Guangxi flood relief bolstered by ¥10 million corporate aid

Typhoon Maysak triggered unprecedented heavy rain across Guangxi, China, affecting 14 prefecture‑level cities and 63 counties, threatening reservoirs and causing widespread flooding. The central government and local authorities deployed over 8,300 rescue personnel, 1,700 vehicles and 5,700 boats to assist affected communities.

Chinese automaker Chery announced a donation of ¥10 million through the China Charity Federation – ¥5 million in cash for rescue operations and displaced‑person support, and ¥5 million worth of supplies for basic needs and post‑disaster recovery. In addition, online learning platform Xiqu Dao contributed ¥100,000 to purchase emergency goods and aid the relocation of flood‑victims.

Both contributions are directed toward urgent rescue efforts, temporary shelter, and longer‑term rebuilding in the hardest‑hit areas of Guangxi.
