Guangzhou and Hong Kong welcome new high-end dining venues

New culinary developments are emerging in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, highlighting a blend of tradition and modern innovation in high-end dining.

In Guangzhou, two new Cantonese dining venues have opened. Yue Long Xuan, located in Zhujiang New Town, focuses on refined Cantonese cuisine with a modern aesthetic, featuring signature dishes like roasted goose with pine nuts. Meanwhile, the historic brand Tao Tao Ju has opened its first 6.0 premium store in Baietan MixC. This new location features a 90% open kitchen concept to emphasize food safety and freshness, allowing diners to witness the preparation of traditional dishes.

In Hong Kong, the two-Michelin-starred restaurant TATE has reopened in Sheung Wan. Led by Chef Vicky Lau, the restaurant has transitioned to a menu that integrates Chinese ingredients with French culinary techniques. The new dining experience emphasizes a fusion of styles, such as a Western-style version of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, served in a redesigned, intimate setting.
