Guangzhou prepares for 140th Canton Fair and MetroTrans 2026

Guangzhou is preparing for major industrial and trade exhibitions, including the 140th Canton Fair and MetroTrans 2026.

The 140th Canton Fair, opening October 15, will feature over 32,000 exhibiting companies across 1.55 million square meters. The event introduces several innovations, including a dedicated zone for new product launches and a specialized area for China Time-honored Brands. To enhance the experience for global buyers, the fair is implementing high-precision navigation using Bluetooth, Beidou, and 5G technologies, as well as an “Exhibition + Overseas Live Streaming” model targeting Middle Eastern and African markets with professional broadcasters from eight different countries.

Additionally, MetroTrans 2026 is scheduled to take place from November 9 to 11 at the Canton Fair Complex. Organized by the China Association of Metros, this urban rail transit exhibition is expected to host over 500 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors from more than 50 countries. The event will run alongside the COMET Guangzhou Annual Meeting, which brings together delegates from 45 major metro operators worldwide to discuss technological cooperation and industry standards.
