Guaporé River bridge fully reopened in Rio Grande do Sul

The Empresa Gaúcha de Rodovias (EGR) has fully reopened the bridge over the Guaporé River on the ERS-129 highway, connecting the municipalities of Encantado and Muçum in the Vale do Taquari region.

The bridge had been closed since July 24 to allow for the reconstruction of a pillar locking structure wall. The repair project, valued at R$ 4.9 million, faced several delays due to heavy rainfall and rising river levels, which interrupted work on multiple occasions in August and September.

Following the completion of the technical procedures and structural recovery, traffic was cleared for full use on Wednesday.
