Guaraguao begins construction of new RD$21.2 million police station

Construction has officially begun on a new police station in Guaraguao, located in the Cristo Rey de Guaraguao municipal district of the Duarte province. The project, led by the Provincial Development Directorate, involves an investment of RD$21,226,703.

The new facility will be a Type I detachment covering 165.40 square meters. It is designed to enhance the operational capacity of the National Police, providing dedicated spaces for prevention, surveillance, and citizen services. The project aims to address the current lack of adequate police infrastructure in the area.

Approximately 1,000 residents are expected to benefit directly from the new station, which is intended to improve local security, community coexistence, and overall tranquility.
